Decodable Readers Non Fiction Boxed Set 2

The Non-Fiction Letters & Sounds Decodable Readers also follow the Letters & Sounds progression on a week-by-week basis (letter-by-letter). Non-fiction titles engage all learners, especially boys who may be more interested in learning facts. Each Decodable Reader has been written with a strictly controlled text so that children are only exposed to those letter sounds that they have previously learnt. Furthermore, tricky words are only included after they have been introduced.

Builds confidence in young readers as they master the phonics code. The Non-Fiction series uses full-colour photography throughout. Can also be used alongside other popular schemes as book-banded reading levels are provided. The library includes include 72 different reader titles, 12 at each Phase level.

Decodable Readers Program Overview

Letters & Sounds is a phonics-based reading program designed to teach the letter patterns of the English language, with the aim of helping children become fluent readers by the age of 7. The program follows a systematic progression, where children are introduced to a core set of letters (s, a, t, p, i, n, m) and are encouraged to build words and play with these new sounds.

Each Letters & Sounds series of books follows children week-by-week through the program providing them text-based context to practice their emerging reading skills.
